Raised in Syracuse, New York, Hsu graduated from Binghamton University with a self-authored degree in "Creative Sound Technology".   Hsu's Bachelor of Arts degree encompassed five disciplines including Music, Theatre, Film, Psychology + Physics.   This diverse course of study was the seed that evolved into the present day persona of Delta H Design Inc.
After holding a position as member of the jr. faculty at Cornell University's Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Hsu relocated to Los Angeles and freelanced as a live sound engineer.   Intrigued with recording studios and album work, Hsu took a staff position at Westlake Audio Studios in Hollywood.   Seven years later he left as Chief Engineer and immersed himself in the world of film and television post-production with Sony Pictures Entertainment.   Over 25 films later Hsu left Sony and founded DHDI.
Thus began Hsu's career as a full time acoustician + designer.   Rising to meet the demands of a discerning clientele, DHDI quickly grew to offer a variety of design services including architecture, interiors, furniture and technology.   During this period Hsu invented ZR Acoustics® [Zero Reflection Acoustics] while designing Mike Shipley Productions' studio. In 2009 Hsu added general contracting to DHDI's portfolio of services at the request of Universal Music Group.
Inspired by Tibetan arts, African textiles, Japanese design, Gaudi, Nature, Calatrava and Music in it's entirety, Hsu's drive to create originates from a deep love for the aesthetic, incessant curiosity and an insatiable thirst for knowledge and beauty.
Hsu is currently working on a new acoustical paradigm hybridizing chaos theory, multi-linear dynamics + applied future material technology.   Conceptually transforming architecture into acoustical artwork, this new design paradigm will have even greater resolution than ZR Acoustics®
while still being applicable to rectilinear or polygonal spaces.
